This weekend I will see my sisters. No, it’s not the yearly sister vacation, but we will be together at my niece’s wedding. I haven’t seen my sisters since last summer and I can’t wait to be with them, even though this trip is going to be a very short one for me. I am hoping we can plan the next sister vacation while we are together, and I hope we can do one before this year is over!
I came across a few photos from our 2008 sister vacation in Colorado.
This is us, ready to begin our whitewater rafting adventure. From left to right, front row are Jason, me and Linda. On the back row are Gary, Bonnie and Pam. Our guide for this trip was Kemper. He is Pam and Gary's friend and always ready to go rafting!
Since it was nearing the end of the season, most of the rapids were considered Class 3s, somewhat tame compared to the wild waters in the spring!
That's me and Jason jumping in! The water temp was about 45 degrees!
Oh, yeah, I had fun!
Not seeing this article untill after sister time I must say that it brought back a lot of good memories of Colorado time together. Cindy was so brave to jump off the bridge. There was a time when I would have done it too. Aging has made me more cautious or maybe smarter (not sure which).
As for bucket lists things I’m still moving forward with new ones. Another tattoo could be in the picture, maybe an asian symbol that would be special to all of us. A tattoo meaning sister’s or sisters are my best friends.
Smarter. Definitely smarter! 🙂
That was one check off your bucket list. I remember being exhausted after our little white water excursion.
Speaking of bucket list – I still amaze people with my hummingbird tatoo. People actually can’t believe that I have a tatoo! Anyone up for another???
Do you think I can lose 100 lbs. by the wedding?
Actually, I put whitewater rafting on AND crossed it off my bucket list on the same day!
I, of course, am not up for a tattoo, but I will support my sisters if they choose to get another!
I just bought my new shoes this afternoon. Dress and shoes are snazzy! Too bad, I look like frumpy grandma in them! I gave up on trying to lose any weight! You will get all of me!
Whatever – I know all of my aunties and my mom will be super cute!
I haven’t seen these photos. Where is your life guard?! Hahaha!
These photos were not taken with my camera. Klang Yai took them with her camera and sent me hard copies. I eventually got them scanned and now have them on-line! She thought that the first photo she took of me jumping off that bridge was blurry, and insisted I jump a second time, so she could get the shot!!!
Hahaha!
