I can’t tell you about all the ups and downs we’ve had with this dog ownership thing, yet. It requires a bit more thought than I have time for right now.
But I have had several requests for updates.
On Monday, Blue Dog went to the vet and it has been determined that he is a bull terrier mix. He is about 6 months old and is healing fairly nicely from his dog fight wounds.
He is still underweight, but looks better than he did when he first came to us.
His eyes will certainly remain blue.
I will take him to the vet next week for his parvo and distemper shots.
We gave him a bath on Tuesday evening. It was a sort of sponge bath as he still has some “hot spots” (bite wounds) that are healing.
After his bath, we brought him into the house. He is doing quite well with the three cats. We may let him sleep inside tonight.
Oh, he looks sweet, poor baby. Funny I just gave Pixel a bath and then I read about you giving Blue one.
I love the smell of fresh dog in the morning, lol!
Diva, Yes the smell of fresh dog! We just made Mose (permanent name) a few toys out of old rags. We’re going to doggie store on Saturday!
He’s most definitely a Cindy & Brian dog. However, I haven’t heard from Brian. What are his thoughts.
Bon, I’ll have him get back to you on this one himself!
Aaaww. He’s a beautiful thing!! 😀
Mari, He really does have some beautiful features! We’re beginning to think he is going to fit in rather nicely in our pack!
Isn’t Frank Sinatra sometimes called Old Blue Eyes? Perhaps you could name the dog Frankie or Frank……
Care, Neighbors already named a cat Frankie for the same reason.
Cindy, Blue looks wonderful. He is a beautiful boy! The difference between the first photo and the third photo is incredible. You can already see the love and gratitude in his eyes. He is going to be a fantastic companion.
Daneen, He is really amazing! Super sweet. Is getting along fantastic with the cats! Yes, he is going to be a wonderful companion!
