To Pat. That would make a very good “aging sucks” story, ’cause yes, I have already experienced exactly what you are going through with your kids. I can say this though, even though they are grown, it feels really good when they ask your opinion before they make a decision.

I could write about “Loosing Control.” I am a 44 year old mother of a 21 year old daughter and twin son and daughter who are 19. I never thought the day would come when I would say, “I’m loosing control.” I know at some point in life you have to let those little birdlings fly and even cover your eyes as not to see how many branches they are hitting along the way, but it has been hard to accept that after so many years of nurturing and them relying on your wisdom, your guidance and your opinions to one morning waking up from what surely had to have been an unfortunate coma to find that these kids are now young adults not so dependent anymore.
